About
The Ministry of Social Development have partnered with two market leading customer service, contact centre and wider industry learning and placement providers (LearningPlanet and Phone Plus People) to provide a specialised placement programme designed with the specific purpose of achieving employment placement opportunities for our candidates within a 12-week period.
This unique programme is tailor made for each candidate and is based on their individual background, circumstances, personal attributes and aspirations, to maximise their potential to achieve rewarding and fulfilling employment.
Our Employment and Engagement Tutors will create a tailored learning pathway for all our candidates, and hand hold them through their employment readiness training with added emphasis on CV preparation and interview skills training. Certification will be provided for each pathway and through our intensive 1:1 job coaching process, our candidates graduate full of energy and confidence to secure employment within both internal and external customer focussed industries.
Our program is funded for Jobseekers by the Ministry and will focus on sustainable employment outcomes for our candidates by upskilling them in a number of aspects of customer service interaction including but not limited to sales, retail, administration, virtual assistant, contact centre, logistics and service skills.

Programme Duration
2 weeks of Individualised Online Training and 12 weeks of 1:1 Employment Readiness Coaching / Programs commence on a weekly basis starting July
Programme Outcomes
Certification in tailored learning pathways and enhanced opportunity and support to secure employment in Customer Service or other similar industries
Course Outline

Completion of 5 online learning pathways in conjunction with workbooks – Expected time to complete each pathway is between 1 - 2 hours per day.

Workbooks are to be completed and submitted daily.

A pass mark of 80% is required on each pathway modulebased on 5 questions.

There will be 3 assessment resits available should some passes not be achieved.

Additional coaching for the resits will be provided by our Employment & Engagement Tutors.

Attendance to 2 specialised Masterclass Sessions for 1. CV design, preparation and adaptation and 2. Interviewing Techniques and Role Plays.

Attendance to weekly scheduled virtual job fayres to foster employment opportunities (You simply dial in to a zoom meeting from your device)

Attendance to weekly scheduled one on one coaching sessions of 30 minutes with Employment & Engagement Tutors for 12 weeks until employment is achieved.

Commitment to proactive job applications guided and supported by our Tutors
Programme Entry Requirements
Here are our Minimum Entry Level Requirements:

Express a desire to complete the course within the programme timelines

Be actively interested in being employed in a customer service focussed industry or another industry that requires similar skillsets

Are willing to proactively apply for roles as soon as you start the programme supported by our Tutors

Have a good handle of basic mathematics & the English Language

Be internet savvy and social media familiar

Can commit to 2 weeks training with 1-2 hours per day allocated to the learning pathway work plus coaching time and participation in schedule virtual classroom sessions

Can commit to scheduled 1:1 job application and coaching sessions twice weekly for 12 weeks until you start a new role.
